VP or Director of Community Solutions - Social Media

Small World Labs, a leading provider of social networking software and services, is looking for a tremendous individual to fill its Head of Community Solutions position. This position reports to the CEO and is a part of the company’s management team. Title is based on experience. This key position is in charge of running the programs designed to make our customer’s social networks successful and also manages our project management and account management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Run strategy sessions with clients, including:
    - Needs analysis
    - Identification of business goals and community goals
    - Identification of the target audience and target segments, as well as areas of valuable engagement for community users

  • Based on strategy sessions, recommend the optimum configuration of our platform vis-à-vis the customer’s needs
  • Manage and further develop the company’s community management program, with focus on the following areas:
    - Member acquisition
    - Social media marketing
    - Member vibrancy & engagement
    - Content creation
    - Moderation
    - Metrics & reporting

  • Meet with clients on a routine basis to communicate results and set new goals
  • Identify up-sell opportunities
  • Manage and set goals for the account management & project management teams

Requirements
The ideal candidate has the following attributes and experience:

  • Analyzing and understanding businesses and business models, including the creation of strategic plans (or business plans) and the identification of target markets and market segments
  • Managing projects with clients
  • Online marketing experience, including
    - Running acquisition campaigns
    - Running engagement campaigns
    - Analyzing website analytics & reports

  • Social media experience, including
    - Use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and RSS
    - Community management & moderation

  • A creative mind to propose different community engagement techniques & strategy
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills
  • Experience with project and account management
  • Management experience
  • Some level of visual design and HTML skills
  • A bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or MBA
