    Last week our team traveled to Washington DC for the ASAE Technology Conference & Expo. The event highlighted the latest technical trends and business services in the association space. Online community was a hot topic throughout the event as several organizations expressed interest in helping their communities become more successful.

    Yesterday Mary Beth Bennett, an Online Community Consultant for Small World Labs, presented to a focused group of hypertension stakeholders in Washington, DC. These stakeholders are partnering with the American Heart Association to move 17 million more Americans to high blood pressure control by 2020.

    This year Small World Labs went all out for Halloween. We had 100% participation and fun was had by all. Awards were given out for funniest costume (Michael Wilson), costume that most closely resembles his/her real personality (Mariano Caceres), scariest costume (Christopher Bair), and most original (Darrel Wiggins).     Ever see a mad scientist run a race?

    This past weekend the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation hosted its 2nd annual Fall Festival. The event, which featured a Spooky Skedaddle 5k, two great bands for entertainment, several local food trailers, and a captioned screening of Beetlejuice, drew an excellent crowd from in and around Austin.

    bbcon 2013: That's a Wrap!

    Like kings triumphantly returning home from battle, Small World Labs has made its way back to Austin from bbcon 2013! All kidding aside though, Blackbaud put on an excellent event with exceptional speakers and engaging sessions. Our team of 7 was very fortunate to establish new relationships with nonprofit leaders and partner reps in the space.

    Next week at this time Small World Labs will be packing our bags and heading up to our nation’s capital for BBCON 2013 . BBCON is Blackbaud’s conference for Nonprofits and serves as the premier event for Blackbaud-related training, networking, and thought leadership.

    This year Small World Labs hopes to make a splash through various levels of engagement.
